Ohio Pawnbrokers Association:

The Ohio Pawnbrokers Association (OPA) encourages its members to give back to the community, and offers guidance to pawnbrokers on how to get involved locally. The OPA works to provide pawnbrokers statewide with resources and tools to strengthen the pawn industry. Fraternal Order of Police Cleveland Lodge #8:

The Fraternal Order of Police Cleveland Lodge #8, located at 2249 Payne Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio was founded in 1934. It proudly serves its members as the labor representative for the supervisors of the Cleveland Division of Police as well as the fraternal organization for their active and retired members. Jewelers of America:

The national trade association, Jewelers of America, has been established for businesses that serve the retail marketplace for fine jewelry. They promote consumer confidence in the jewelry industry. The Jewelers of America was founded in 1906 and is located in New York City. Jewelers of America provides it's members with the tools they need to achieve and succeed in the fine jewelry retail marketplace.

National Pawnbrokers Association:

Headquartered in Keller, Texas, the National Pawnbrokers Association (NPA) was founded in 1988 to support the growing network of responsible pawnbrokers in the United States.  As a trade association, the NPA supports nearly 2,600 members. The Association offers guidance to pawnbrokers on how to be involved on a local, statewide and national basis. In addition, the NPA offers members compliance training related to the federal, state and local laws that apply to the industry. It provides it's members with the resources and support for enhancing the image and acceptance of pawnbrokers through action, representation, and Best Practices. Ohio Council of Retail Merchants:

The Ohio Council of Retail Merchants & Affiliates is an alliance of leading trade associations representing a wide spectrum of business in Ohio. The organization has been serving Ohio retailers since 1922. 

Mid-America Jewelers Association:

The Mid-America Jewelers Association encourages lawmakers to support legislation that is beneficial to it's member
companies. It also offers educational scholarships to its membership to encourage members to become certified jewelry experts. The MAJA was formerly the Ohio Jewelers Association and it's mission is to foster and promote the legislative, business, ethical and education interests of the retail jewelers of the state of Ohio for the betterment of the jewelry buying public.

Jewelers Security Alliance:

The Jewelers Security Alliance is a non-profit trade association with 20,000 members that has been providing crime information and assistance to the jewelry industry and law enforcement since 1883. They are located in New York City. The JSA fulfills its mission of informing and alerting jewelers about crime through frequent E-Mail Crime Alerts and print publication, a web site, seminars and consulting activities. JSA also works closely with the FBI and local law enforcement agencies, sharing its data and analysis in order to further the war on jewelry crime. To contact the JSA, click here.

National Pawnbrokers Association Musical Instrument Gift Day, December 6, 2010:

Uncle Ben's Pawn Shop is pleased to support the National Pawnbrokers Association Musical Instrument Gift Day. This event is an excellent opportunity to improve a child’s life, and to remind the public that pawnbrokers are here to help their communities. We helped our injured US Armed Forces veterans by contributing musical instruments to injured vets at the Brecksville, Ohio Veterans Facility.

On December 6th, the National Pawnbrokers Association is sponsoring their Second Annual Musical Instrument Gift Day. This special national event is in celebration of National Pawnbrokers Day, which coincides with St. Nicholas Day.  In the spirit of St. Nick’s compassion, generosity, and hope, pawn stores nationwide will work with Boys and Girls Clubs of America to donate musical instruments to children who need them most. Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association:

Federal Firearms Licensee:

Uncle Ben's Pawn Shop is a Federal Firearms Licensee. We have held a Type 2 Federal Firearms License (FFL) since 1968. The requirements of a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) are overseen by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). One of the primary missions of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is to provide direction and advice to the firearms industry regarding the Federal firearms regulations.
